About HeartCare Midwest
Since 1972, HeartCare Midwest has provided expert care for heart and vascular patients. Over the years the practice has grown in size and scope of specialties. Today, HeartCare Midwest includes more than 40 cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and vascular surgeons and a support staff of more than 100 caring allied health professionals. The practice has grown to be the largest, most advanced and experienced cardiovascular group in the heart of Illinois. HeartCare Midwest provides services throughout central Illinois, with modern, fully integrated offices in Peoria, Bloomington, Pekin and Galesburg. In addition, HeartCare Midwest physicians staff regional clinics at 18 hospitals and medical centers across the region. To make the transition to HeartCare Midwest a smooth experience for patients, we maintain strong relationships with primary care physicians, hospitals and medical centers across central Illinois.
In September 2008 HeartCare Midwest joined OSF Healthcare System, an integrated health care network owned and operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. In addition, HeartCare Midwest is affiliated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria and has participated nationally in more than 120 clinical trials. These partnerships, teaching and research connections assure HeartCare Midwest patients have access to the latest most highly developed technology, treatments and procedures. HeartCare Midwest continues to hold as its highest goal bringing patients into full recovery so that they may lead longer and more productive lives.
